Healthy Agri-Food Systems
Healthy food is an eternal theme. Climate change, urbanization and regional conflicts bring new challenges to agriculture globally. To this, we will focus on the theme of Healthy Agri-Food System, taking scientific and technological innovation as the main line, open to global agri-food academia and industries. We are convening preeminent researchers, and executives from the agri-food industries to break the bottleneck in science translation, advance agri-food research, and provide valuable suggestions for young scientists and agri-food industries. The conference has a main venue in the morning (GMT+8) and five sub-venues in the afternoon, including Transforming Agri-Food Production, Sustainable Agri-Food Environment, Nutrition and Health, Agri-Food Society and Economics, and Interdisciplinary Agri-Food Research.
The first forum will be held in Wuzhen, a famous town in south of the Yangtze River that integrates ancient and modern water town scenery in China, and the permanent venue of the World Internet Conference. The meeting coincided with the Chinese traditional Grain Rain Festival (April 20) and Shangsi Festival (April 22). Eating healthy food suitable for the season, eliminating evil and avoiding harm is one of the connotations of these two festivals. Modern agriculture is more consciously pursuing scientific and technological innovation and taking research, promotion and popularization of healthy food as its vocation and foundation.
